“Coming to Him, a living stone — rejected by men but chosen and valuable to God –” [1 Peter 2:4 HCSB]
iv’-li, liv’-ing (chay; zao): “Living,” sometimes “lively,” is the translation of chay (often also translated “life”); it denotes all beings possessed of life (Ge 1:21,24; 2:7,19; Ex 21:35, “live”); we have frequently the phrase, “the land of the living” (as contrasted with she’ol, the abode of the dead),

אֶבֶן :From the root of בָּנָה (H1129) through the meaning to build
“Then Samuel took a stone, and set [it] between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us.” [1 Samuel 7:12 KJV]
“Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen and called its name Ebenezer; for he said, “Till now the LORD has helped us.”” [1 Samuel 7:12 ESV]
My thoughts of how God creates “miles stones” in our life. He is the crossroads in Life, for the moments of memorial and never failed as look back in my past though men have failed me, the Living Stone had not rejected me but a strong foundation and building my life upon His words, promises, and character.
